The points leaderboard for the MoKanNeb Grand Champion Title is so close the title will be decided at the re-scheduled Kansas City Texas Holdem Championship.
DEC 15, 2009: THIS WEEKEND: Players from across the country are heading to Topeka for the 2009 Kansas State Texas Holdem and Mixed Games Grand Championships, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 18 & 19!
Dec. 12, 2009 BREAKING NEWS: Emporia native "Mean Gene" Kimber wins the first annual Kansas City No-Limit K.C. Lowball Championship after a 3-hour final table. Gene's cards ran stone cold for quite awhile. He once flashed a Kings Full House to show how the cards were running. But discipline and experience ultimately prevailed. The tide turned, and on the fateful hand, when it was checked to him, Gene bet correctly, all-in, that his perfect 10-low would hold up... it did and he became the first-ever Kansas City K.C. Lowball Champion in the process !
Dec. 11, 2009 BREAKING NEWS: Jeff Berroth survived a field of 60 of the toughest poker players in Northeast Kansas to win the title bracelet at the 2009 Manhattan No-Limit Texas Holdem Grand Championship. Runner-up was no less a competitor than Player of the Decade candidate Dan Guth. Full pictorial coverage will be posted here shortly.

Burch who survived a field of 90 of Northeast Kansas' toughest players to win the title bracelet at the 2009 Topeka No-Limit Texas Holdem Championship. In addition to the individual title bracelets to be awarded at each of these 7 championships, the player with the highest combined overall performance in the tournament series will win the coveted 2009 MoKanNeb Tri-State Poker Grand Championship Title and Bracelet.
Every variety of poker will be played in this series: from Texas Holdem to Omaha to Lowball and Stud. All events are double-elimination giving each player two full opportunities to win the tournament. Therefore, to win the Grand Championship Title, the champion will have to excel at a variety of games against the best competition the region has to offer. This will be a memorable accomplishment which will earn the Champion a place in the MoKanNeb Poker Hall of Fame alongside the legends of Central States poker!
