Introduction

Hi! I am new to the area and love playing poker so thought this would be the best of both worlds...meeting new people while playing poker. :)

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your skill level and poker knowledge? (1 = No idea, but I want to learn. 10 = I'm a professional player)

Do you prefer a cash game or a tournament?

Are you 21 years of age or older? CA law states you have to be 21 years of age to gamble, and we may ask to see your ID to verify age in order to play.

  • I had a conversation with folks who worked on Pelican Bay issues at Humboldt State. I work with Transgender individuals to fight discrimination in prisons and I had a conversation with Angela Davis about it, she really inspired me to think about how to solve current prison issues. I also grew up in Delano, where prisons have taken over and the United Farm Workers headquarters was even taken over for a prison. Which leads to immigration issues involving imprisoned people.

  • I suppose you might say I have a general interest in classes of people who have distinct and difficult lots in life. That interest leads to things like doing social work with formerly homeless people for a living and looking into this group. And, honestly, I spent a tiny bit of time in the custody of the State of Florida when i was 18 (I am now 25).
Ive been looking around for some kind of prison reform nonprofit to volunteer for. You know of any?
