WHEN: Sun., June 14th 2009

RSVP: Please RSVP if you are sure you're coming so we have a reasonably accurate estimate of attendance.

WHERE / TRANS: Dave & Busters, 1030 N. Clark St. Chicago. Red Line El-Subway stops at Division 2 blocks north. 22 bus at front door, 36 Broadway bus runs nearby. 10 minutes and $7 to 10 by taxi from Union Station.

GAME: No-Limit Texas Holdem. Pursuant to Roberts Rules of Poker and the guidelines of the Poker Tournament Directors Association.

DOUBLE ELIMINATION: This tournament will be played "double elimination". Upon first bust-out all players will receive a re-entry stack equal to 30 X the next big blind level. Those players not requiring a re-entry will receive an add-on equal to the current re-entry amount at break/color-up. This arrangement gives all players 2 full opportunities to win, and effectively means that to win the tournament, the champion will have to "beat everyone twice", leaving no doubt they deserve the title.

FREE. NO GAMBLING: This event is free, there is no buy-in or gambling. No cash prizes, trophies or things of value, no free food/drinks, etc. Strictly for entertainment.

This was a tremendously competitive tournament. Nearly 90 players met the challenge. The event started at 230 and the final hand wasn't dealt until 1030. Congratulations to Kostis Tsonis who had to come from a deep chip deficit to win it all!
